the Asics Rainbows Spring Volleyball Fest that concluded on O’ahu
Sunday.
Using American (rally) scoring, the Kaua’i squad coached by Chad
Delanoza and Janice Magaoay beat the Oahu Volleyball Club 25-23, 25-22 to bring
home the trophy.
According to the club’s Rich Roberts, the 16s were
involved in 2 games on Friday and Saturday to establish their seeding for the
single elimination tournament held Sunday. Kaua’i earned a 3rd seed following
two days of competition. Team members are: Tiare Toulon, Kandice Cummings,
Tiana Lum-Tucker, Kehau Regidore, Erin Garlie, Ashley Nagaoka, Ashley
Kawaihalau, Ashley Tanaka, and Kareen Konishi.
