Ronald H. Buchanan Ronald H. Buchanan,formerly of Kaua’i, died Feb. 7,
2000, at the age of 52.
Born in South Gate, Calif., Ron moved to Kaua’i in
the early 1970s and was an employee at the Bullshed Restaurant in Waipouli as
well as a partner in A & B Carpet Cleaning Service with the late John
Alfiler. A career longshoreman, Ron loved the ocean, surfing, and fishing.
He is survived by his children: Lori Milner, Joey, Chase, Jake and Hayley
Buchanan; brothers Buddy Ball and Kenny Buchanan, sister Sharon Bernhardt; two
grandchildren, Josh and Abby Milner; and many friends.
His Kaua’i friends
are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m. on the
beach at the north end of Kealia Beach. Call 822-3349 for more

Federico Olores
Federico “Tico” Olores of Honolulu died
March 8, 2000, at St. Francis Hospice-Nuuanu, at the age of 69.
A retired
carpenter, he was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Honolulu.
He is survived by his
wife, Betsy; sons, Alton “Dino” and Buzzy; daughter, Shari; brothers, Bernardo
“Nado”, Valeriano “Yano”, Fernando “Tando” Carillo and Ernesto “Nato” Carillo;
sisters, Lourdes Unciano, Angelina “Angie” Machado, Lenora “Nora” Patricio,
Veronica “Barbara” Carillo, Rosalina “Sainge” Kunipo and Carol
Abara.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, at
Borthwick Mortuary on O’ahu; service at 7 p.m. Friends may call again on
Thursday, March 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a service at 9:30 a.m.
Burial to follow at Hawai’i State Veteran Cemetery at 11 a.m.
Casual
attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Mortuary.
