in Nawiliwili Yacht club events last week.
Malihini was the Multihull Class
winner in the second race of the Winter Sunset Series on Wednesday and sailed
to a win in the Open Class of the third race of the Roland Solis Memorial
Series on Saturday.
Among the Malihini crew members last week were Doug
Gibson, Rick Schunk, Allan Chatham, David Dennis, Randall Hillner and Dave
Anderson.
Cat-O-Tonic, with Pat Salling and Christopher Mildwaterl won the
Sport Cat Class in the Winter Sunset Series.
Tim Perry won both winter
series Laser Class Open/Masters races. Mike Matutino was second both times,
while Mike Bailey and Kevin Millett also participated.
In the Laser Class
Junior/Novice race, Jessica and Josh Amas were victorious and were followed in
order by Bryon Knopf and Miles Swift.
Obsession placed second in the Solis
series Open Class, while Machine Gun Etiquette posted a win in the Sport Cat
Class with Bailey’s Prindle 19 earning second.
– Yoga classes offered
in Po’ipu
PO’IPU — Yoga classes are offered from 8-9:30 a.m. on weekdays
near the Sheraton Kaua’i.
Joy Zepeda is the instructor, and she offers the
Hatha Yoga Practice.
Zepeda says Yoga: “can make you feel and look great;
is rejuvenating; improves your strength and flexibility; and improves posture
and balance.”
The suggested donation for each class is $10.

tourney
LIHU’E — The Kaua’i High School girls basketball team will be
playing in the Kalani High School Girls Basketball Tournament on O’ahu.
The
tournament starts tomorrow and finishes up Saturday.

upcoming KIF Sports Pass.
In correction, businesses choosing the Platinum
plan would get a banner hanging in the gymnasium throughout the whole school
