A truck driver, she was
born on Sept. 2, 1952, in Waimea.
She is survived by two sons: Louis
(Shirlee) Montalvo III of Kekaha and Richard (Marla) Borrerro of Koloa; one
daughter: Cheryl (Gordy) Duarte of Kekaha; parents: Ashford and Momi Kapahu of
Kekaha; one brother: Howard (Pat) Naleimaile of Lawai; four sisters: Mona (Bob)
McCullough of California, Helene (Tommy) Vierra of Lawai, Becky Kapahu of
Kekaha, Wanda (Daimion) Freitas of Hanapepe; five grandchildren, aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and cousins.
Celebration of Laverne’s life will be held on
Wednesday March 1, at the family’s residence at 8101 Kekaha Road at 4 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested.
