from the state boys basketball championship tournament yesterday at the Stan

The Trojans knocked off the Red Raiders 71-60.
It was
the second straight loss for Kaua’i which suffered a 55-40 loss to the Radford
Rams on Tuesday.
Four players reached double figures for the winning
Trojans — Justin Grahovac with 18, Ryan Santos with 15, Chad Townsend with 14
and Ian Monongdo with 12.
Senior veteran Brad Lum-Tucker and R-Jay Pillos
hit for 16 points apiece in the Raider effort, while Lionel Tomacder added 11
points.
Pillos sailed home four three-pointers, while Tomacder canned three
treys.
Others Raider scorers were Mason Ceria and Jason Kashiwabara with
six points each, David Medeiros with three, and Tyler Kobayashi with
two.
Ceria also had four assists.
Lum-Tucker was immense off the boards
with eight rebounds. Pillos grabbed seven rebounds and Tomacder added
six.
The Red Raiders finished their season with a 6-4 record and that
included an 0-2 record a the state tourney.
Mililani (9-7) continues on in
the consolation bracket.
In other tournament games, Hilo (13-1) and St.
Louis (12-2) moved into tonight’s championship game.
Hilo beat Baldwin
58-46, while St. Louis edged Roosevelt 58-55 in semifinal action.
Enoch
McKeague, a Kaua’i resident, scored seven points for St. Louis in the
victory.
