– Malihini starts strong again
NAWILIWILI — Malihini won
the first race of the Nawiliwili Yacht Club’s Winter Sunset Series last
Wednesday at Nawiliwili Harbor.
Malihini, with Doug Gibson, Rick Schunk,
Randall Hillner and Allan Chatham on board, beat out Malia’s crew of Gene Wells
and Brendon Higgens.
Tim Perry won the Laser Class, followed in order by
Mike Bailey, Kevin Millett, Jessica and Josh Amas, Brandon Wolfe and Byron
Knopf.
The second race of the series is this Wednesday at 5 p.m.
French fires ace at Puakea
LIHU’E — Bob French, the owner of Brennecke’s
in Po’ipu, carded a hole-in-one on the Grove Farm Golf Course at Puakea’s 3rd
hole recently.
French used a 3-iron on the 200-yard hole.
