Isami “Sam” Urabe, of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, died on Feb. 9, 2000, at the
age of 87.
Born in Koloa, Kaua’i on Jan. 26, 1913, he was a retired
Fireroom Crew Chief with McBryde Sugar Co.
He is survived by: his wife,
Masae Urabe of Kalaheo; five sons: Lincoln (Vivien) Urabe of Gardena, Calif.,
Harold Urabe of Las Vegas, Nev., Steven (Sheryl) Urabe of Honolulu, Oahu,
Patrick Urabe of Buena Park, Calif., Francis Urabe of Kalaheo, Kauai; four
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one brother: Harlan (Kiyoko) Urabe of
Lawai Valley Estates, Kauai; two sisters: Kimiko Yamamoto of Koloa, Chieko
(Asaichi) Shimamoto of Wailua Houselots, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at the
Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Earl Ikeda will begin
at 5 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.

Chiyoko Takata of Lihue, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on
Feb. 14, 2000, at the age of 87.
Born in Kaunakakai, Molokai on Nov. 21,
1912, she is survived by: one son: Sam (Elsie) Takata of Lihue, Kauai; three
daughters: Katherine Hirayama of California, Annah Martin of Kapaa, Kauai, 11
grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; one
brother: Katoro Kaneko of Waimea, Kauai; numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins

Constance
Louis-Adric of Kalaheo, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 16,
2000, at the age of 82.
Born in Koloa, Kauai on Jan. 31, 1918, she is
survived by: one son, Alfred (Tudi) Louis, Jr. of Kalaheo, Kauai; four
daughters: Jeanne Callahan of Kalaheo, Kauai, Patricia (Joseph) Tachibana of
Kalaheo, Kauai, Lourdes (Todd) Scheibert of Honolulu, O’ahu, Marvelene Aquino
of San Diego, Calif., one son-in-law Ellsworth (Joan) Kaohi of Kona; four
step-sons, Valentine (Maile) Adric, Rodney (Charlene) Adric, Gary (Brenda)
Adric, and Joseph Adric, all of Kapa’a, and one step-daughter, Sunny-Lu Honda,
of Kapa’a; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren
and step-great-grandchildren; one sister: Mariana Gonsalves of Kekaha, Kauai;
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at
8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church; service
officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 10 a.m. Followed by burial at the
Holy Cross Catholic church cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
