Kaua’i.
She is survived by three daughters: Lillian Iida of Lihu’e, Eleanor
(John) Stein and Jane (Casey) Look, both of Honolulu; one son: Paul (Joyce)
Hirota of Honolulu; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; one
brother-in-law: Morio Hirota of Hanama’ulu and one sister-in-law: Ayako
(Kiyoichi) Hirota of Lihu’e; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation
is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 18, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in
Kapaia from 9 a.m. with mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Paul.
Inurnment to follow at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
Casual attire
is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i
Mortuary.
Benjamin Butac
Benjamin Soriano Butac of Oma’o, Kaua’i, died
at his residence on Feb. 7, 2000, at the age of 78.
Born Nov. 16, 1921, in
the Philippines, he was a payloader operator for McBryde Sugar.
He is
survived by one daughter: Josiline (Ignacio) Acosta of O’ahu, two sons: Romy
(Arsenia) Butac of Hanama’ulu and Robin (Celina) Butac of Las Vegas, Nev., six
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 18, at Borthwick/Kaua’i
Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Service at 7 p.m. Remains will be held
overnight at his residence at 4460 Punee Road, Oma’o for visitation. Friends
may call again on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 8 a.m. at St. Michael’s & All
Angels’ Church in Lihu’e with service at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai
Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being
handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
