Kekaha; and Diane (Harold) Meyer of Kingsburg, Calif.; seven grandchildren, two
great-grandchildren, two brothers: Chew Lun (Traudl) Lau of Honolulu, and Chew
Poy Lau of Honolulu; four sisters: Margaret Fung, Emma Lau, Minnie (Joe)
Malina, and Mariane (Ed) Mau, all of Honolulu; numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb.
11, at Kalaheo Missionary Church. Service officiated by Pastor Merv Walker will
begin at 4:30 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.

Nicholas Silva
Nicholas “Nicky” G. Silva, of Kalaheo, died at
Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 8, 2000, at the age of 76.
Born in
Kalaheo on Sept. 16, 1923, he was a retired truck driver with Kaua’i
Commercial.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Silva of Kalaheo; three
sons: Joey (Linda) Silva, Nicholas Dennis Silva, and Bernard (Rose) Silva, all
of Kalaheo; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother: Joseph
Ag (Margie) Silva of Kalaheo; one sister: Theresa Beerman of Yakima, Wash.,
and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit
with the family at 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church
in Kalaheo. Service officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 4 p.m. Casual
attire is suggested, and flowers should be omitted.

Angeline Pacheco
Angeline
Motta Pacheco of Kilauea died Feb. 6, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the
age of 85.
A housekeeper with Hanalei Plantation, she also worked for
Hawaiian Fruit Packers and Club Mediterranean. She was born March 18, 1914, in
Lihu’e.
She is survived by two sons: Alfred Pacheco, Jr. of Hanama’ulu and
Gary (Haunani) Pacheco of Kilauea; two daughters: Sally (Taxi) Kimura of
Kilauea and Marilyn P. Louis of San Diego; 18 grandchildren, 32 great
grandchildren; one sister: Sophie Pavon of San Leandro, Calif., and one
daughter-in-law: Alice Y. Pacheco of Kilauea; numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 11, at St. Sylvester’s
Catholic Church in Kilauea from 9 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Burial to follow at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested.
