LIHU’E — Surf is expected to rise along the North Shores of O’ahu and Kaua’i,
to heights of 10 to 15 feet by noon today, according to a high surf advisory
released by the National Weather Service in Honolulu.
The height of the
surf will be lower along west shores, and along the north shores of other
islands, the service reported.
Large surf will pose a danger to swimmers,
surfers, beachgoers and opihi-pickers along the affected shorelines, the
National Weather Service said.
Those beaches should be avoided until the
surf subsides, the service suggests.
