HONOLULU – The Waimea Menehunes softball team will open up play in the Hawai’i High School Athletic Association Softball Championships on Wednesday against Kalaheo. The Menehunes (10-1) play Kalaheo (9-4) at 4 p.m. at the University of Hawai’i Wahine Stadium.

If the Menehunes can get past
Kalaheo, they’ll move on to play the number-one seeded Iolani Red Raiders
(16-0) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
A loss against Kalaheo would put Waimea in a
Thursday game against Wednesday’s Waianae (10-3) vs. Kealakehe (7-2)
game.
The tournament will continue through the championship game on
Saturday at 7 p.m.
