LIHU’E — The 2000 Americans of Japanese Ancestry Baseball League season will
begin this Sunday at Vidinha Stadium.
The league has expanded to five teams
with the addition of Kapa’a.
The Eastside squad joins veteran ballclubs
from Lihu’e, Hanapepe, Kalaheo and Makaweli.
The season continues each
Sunday through March 19 with games at Vidinha Stadium and Hanapepe
Stadium.
The playoffs, if needed, will be held on the weekend of March
25-26.
In Sunday’s opener at 9:30 a.m., Lihu’e faces Kapa’a.
Opening
ceremonies are scheduled for noon with a Hanapepe vs. Kalaheo game at 12:30
p.m.
Game times for the rest of the season are 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
