Police arrived and searched for almost three hours but found no
one.
Officers and Kaua’i Fire Department personnel went back out early
Tuesday morning. Within a couple of hours, a man was discovered lying in a
field near the Kapa’a bypass road. He had a broken ankle and had been outside
all night, according to county spokeswoman Beth Tokioka
He was treated at
the scene.
Authorities did not give a reason why the man, whose name was
not released, was in the field in the first place or how he became
injured.
