Kenneth H. Zaima Kenneth H. Zaima of San Diego, and formerly of Kaua’i, died Nov. 28, 1999. He was born in Makaweli, Kauai on Jan. 21, 1920, and served in the Army in the 100th Battalion during World War II.

Kenneth H. Zaima of San Diego, and formerly of Kaua’i, died Nov. 28, 1999. He was born in Makaweli, Kauai on Jan. 21, 1920, and served in the Army in the 100th Battalion during World War II. Mr. Zaima worked in the civil service for 35 years in Japan and Sacramento. He spent his retirement years in Wailua, Kauai and later in San Diego.
He is survived by his wife, Satsuki; children, Janis Zaima Leong of Belmont, Calif., Harold Zaima of Detroit, and Arlene Zaima Hahnenfeld of San Digo; six grandchildren; one brother, James Zaima of Lihue, and six sisters, Rose Ibara of Waimea, Gladys Shintani of Honolulu, Marjorie Johnson of California, Patsy Sakai of Lihue, Mary Ann Shimamoto of Wailua, and Ruth Johnson of California.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Arrangements are being handled by El Camino Mortuary.
Abel Seabury, Sr.
Abel Henry Seabury, Sr. of Waipahu, died Nov. 23, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center West at the age of 76. A retired building contractor, he was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Wailuku Maui.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hawaiiana Seabury; one daughter, Shaynee E.K. (Gerald) Scott; five sons, Thomas N. (Sheila) Seabury, Abel H. (Doreen) Seabury Jr., Russell H. (Linda) Seabury, Robert K. (Laureen) Seabury, Scott B.K. Seabury; 14 grandchildren, his mother, Elizabeth Chun-Ling; two brothers, Lionel Seabury and Michael Seabury; three sisters, Lola (Bill) Higa, Lou Ann (Henry) Rosa, Louise (Gregg) Hector, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Oahu. Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Friends may call again from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Mililani Memorial Park Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Prayer service to be held at 10:30 a.m. Family requests that casual attire be worn.
