William Figueira Sr., of Omao, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 30, 1999, at the age of 92. Born in Honolulu, O’ahu on July 16, 1907, he was a retired Mechanic with Grove Farm Co.
He is survived by: his wife, Jessie Figueira of Omao, Kaua’i; two sons: William (Steph) Figueira of Omao, Kaua’i and John (Lynn) Figueira of Honolulu, O’ahu; one daughter: Rose (Ralph) Koerte of Omao, Kaua’i; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Matilda (Rouque) Lastimado of Wahiawa, O’ahu and Rose Cantere of California; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the St. Raphael Catholic church in Koloa; service officiated by Father Felix will begin at 10:30 a.m. Followed by burial at the Kaua’i Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Kikuno Teraoka
Kikuno Watamura Teraoka, of Kapa’a, Kaua’i died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 23, 1999, at the age of 98. Born in Moloa’a, Kaua’i on Aug. 14, 1901, she was a retired Sales Clerk with Miura Store in Kapa’a.
She is survived by: two sons: Albert (Helen) Teraoka of Kapaa, Kauai and Lincoln (Emiko) Teraoka of Gardena, Calif., 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister: Sumie Miyoshi of Kapaa, Kauai; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
Service were private.

Dr. Yonemichi Miyashiro
Dr. Yonemichi Miyashiro, of Eleele, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 26, 1999, at the age of 73. Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu on Aug. 1, 1926, he was a physician with Ohana Physicians Group, West Kauai Medical Center in Waimea; and also a Veteran with the United States Army.
He is survived by: his wife: Mildred Miyashiro of ‘Ele‘ele, Kaua‘i, two sons: Daniel (Patricia) Miyashiro of Mililani, O‘ahu, Wesley Miyashiro of Honolulu, O‘ahu, three daughters: Donna (Calvin) Umetsu of ‘Ele‘ele, Kaua‘i, Linda (Gary) Eger of Kihei, Maui, and Glori (Jeffry) Kaluna of Seattle, Wash., six grandchildren; one brother: Wilson (Marian) Miyashiro of Kapaa, Kauai; one sister: Mary (Jean) Thompson of S. Lake Tahoe, Calif., numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service has been scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Veterans Center in Lihue; officiating the service will be Pastor Merv Walker from the Kauai Bible Church in Omao. Interment has been scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 1999 at the National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl); officiating the service will be Pastor Sam Webb from the Grace Bible Church-Alewa Heights in Honolulu. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
