PO’IPU — The Sheraton Kaua’i is taking the lead role in trying to organize a
fireworks display as a pre-blast into the new millennium.
The show will
require a minimum of $25,000, and the Po’ipu Beach Resort Association is
seeking donations from community businesses to help support the event.
The
preliminary plans are to stage the fireworks show visible from Po’ipu Beach
Park early in the evening, so that visitors and residents can go from there to
the various celebrations scheduled for the rest of the evening. Call 742-7444
