LIHU‘E — Former Kapa‘a Warriors standout and current Hawai‘i Pacific University sophomore Chance Bukoski was named the Pacific West Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for games played Sept. 21-27.
Bukoski led HPU to a 2-0 week, including scoring three goals in a 4-0 win against BYU-Hawai‘i. Bukoski scored the game’s first goal, which credits him with a game-winner. The Sea Warriors then topped Chaminade to win their second game of the week.
Bukoski now leads the Pac West in goals with four.
HPU sits at 2-1 so far this season in the Pac West and 5-1 overall. Those six points put them in a tie atop the division with Grand Canyon, Dominican (CA), Hawai‘i Hilo and Notre Dame de Namur.
HPU’s Dyanne Anderson was also named Pac West Women’s Player of the Week. She paced the Sea Warriors with five goals in two wins, including a 2-1 showing against reigning division champion BYU-Hawai‘i.
