Pu‘uwai Outrigger holding triathlon, 5K run/walk

Pu‘uwai Outrigger Canoe Club will be holding its next TriKaua‘i Triathlon, 5K Run/Walk at approximately 6:45 a.m., Nov. 22 in Po‘ipu Beach Park. It will be an Olympic style triathlon with a 5K Run/Walk held simultaneously.

Proceeds from the benefit will go to the childrens paddling program, while 10% of the profits will be going to another island charity.

Make-A-Wish charity events in Po‘ipu

A number of events to raise funds for Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i will be hosted by the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort & Spa, Sunday, Nov. 22.

There will be a golf tournament at the Po‘ipu Bay Golf Course that single players or teams of four can sign up for. Included in the event will be two hole-in-one challenges, one worth $10,000 and the other offering a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Other prizes are available, plus a continental breakfast and lunch awards reception will be included.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

The resort will also be hosting a silent auction, with the monies from both charity events benefiting Hawai‘i’s children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

Plus, the annual Holiday Craft Fair with locally made handcrafted items will be held in the hotel’s atrium.
