Melvin Hashimoto

Melvin Kazuto Hashimoto formerly of Puhi, and resident of Los Angeles passed away on January 12, 2014 at the age of 72. He honorably served in the US Army and was a proud member of Ironworker Union Local 433.

He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Masae. He is survived by his children, Terry Mutsue, Stuart Masato (Gabriela) and Lynn Kazue (Brian Roberts) Hashimoto of WA; devoted grandfather of Shayna Ame Garcia, Anthony Kazuto, Mateo Masato and Nicolas Toji Hashimoto, and Peyton Masae Roberts of WA; brother of Elaine Sadako (Lawrence) Kashiwabara of HI, Alvin Saichi (Dorothy) Hashimoto of NV, Eileen Sachiko (Wilfred) Shimomura of HI, Marlene Mitsuko (Herb) Lum, and Leslie Mitsuo (Margaret) Hashimoto of HI. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014, 2:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012, officiated by Bishop Taisen Miyata of Koyasan Buddhist Temple.
