• Election of chair and vice chair and approval of meeting schedule for 2010.

• Resolution for further consideration and/or adoption or approval proposing an amendment to Kaua‘i County Charter Section 3.03, which would increase the term of office for council members from two years to four years.

• Findings and recommendations from Subcommittee on County Governance Member Barbara Bennett. Deliberation and decision-making on the matter investigated, if any, occurs only at a duly noticed meeting of the board held subsequent to the meeting at which the findings and recommendations of the investigation were presented to the board.

• Annual status reports by Po‘ipu Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort and Po‘ipu Beach Villas.

• Withdrawal of application for improvements located within the Kauai Lagoons Resort’s 27-hole golf course complex located in Kalapaki in the nearby vicinity north-northeast of the existing Kaua‘i Marriott Resort and Beach Club facilities and south and west of the Lihu‘e Airport facility.

• An ordinance revising the surplus and appropriations estimated in the general fund by $150,000 for the Kapa‘a-Wailua development plan.

• Communication from Economic Development/Housing Committee Chair Dickie Chang, requesting the presence of Kaua‘i Visitors Bureau Executive Director Sue Kanoho to provide an update on efforts to promote tourism on Kaua‘i since receiving the KVB Economic Stimulus Grant.

• A bill for an ordinance relating to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance and single-family transient vacation rentals.

• Communication from Public Works/Elderly Affairs Committee Chair Tim Bynum, requesting agenda time for a presentation from Howard Wiig, Energy Analyst, Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism on the International Energy Conservation Code, as it relates to the county Energy Code.

• Communication from Public Safety/Energy/Intergovernmental Relations Committee Chair Derek Kawakami, requesting agenda time for a presentation from Renewable Electronics Transportation International on “Time is of the Essence: Changing America’s Transportation and Power Alternatives,” which is a model energy and transportation program across the United States.
