PUHI — Advance tickets to the 25th Annual American Culinary Federation Breakfast are available at the Kaua‘i Community College cafeteria and five other locations around the island.

The advance tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children between 5 to 10 years old. Children under 5 years old eat for free. Ticket prices at the door at $18 for adults.

Doors to the event open at 7 a.m. and runs through 11 a.m. at the KCC campus in Puhi.

In addition to the KCC cafeteria, tickets can also be purchased at the Kalaheo Coffee House, the Kaua‘i Coffee Visitors Center, the Koloa Fish Market, the Fish Express in Lihu‘e, Pono Market in Kapa‘a, and Mark’s Place and Contemporary Flavors Catering in Puhi.

Proceeds from the annual ACF breakfast help with the KCC Culinary Arts program and its students will be working alongside some of the finest chefs on the island to prepare an assortment of breakfast cuisine for people to enjoy.

On the menu are eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, Portuguese Sausage, ham, steamed rice, Hash Browned Potatoes, Omelets cooked to order, Carved Baron of Beef, pancakes, assorted pastries, a selection of fresh fruits.

Fresh brewed Kaua‘i Coffee, Meadow Gold juice and milk, and Kaua‘i Springs water help wash down the breakfast selections.

During previous events, diners can enjoy entertainment that draws from the KCC student population and the community, an art show featuring work from the college’s students, and a huge used book sale in the back of the KCC Performing Arts Center.

Stations are also set up where a limited amount of crafts are available, and students, including the Associated Students of the University of Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, have an opportunity to showcase some of its accomplishments as well as solicit support for some of its programs.
