LIHU‘E — Power outages were reported across the island Tuesday.

Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative experienced problems with the generators at the Port Allen Power Plant at 2:07 p.m., which left parts of the island without power while the power plant brought additional units online, according to a release from KIUC. Power was restored at 2:48 p.m.

KIUC is investigating the incident.
