LIHU‘E — Due to muddy conditions, the Solid Waste Management Office has closed the Kapa‘a Refuse Transfer Station’s Green Waste area, a county Department of Public Works press release states.

Green Waste can be taken instead to either the Lihu‘e or Hanalei Refuse Transfer Stations.

Mixed waste, tires, scrap metals/appliance, propane tanks, residential used motor oil and filters will continue to be accepted at the Kapa‘a Refuse Transfer Station.
