LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative experienced problems with the generators at the Port Allen Power Plant today at 2:07 p.m., which left parts of the island without power while the power plant brought additional units online, a KIUC news release says.

Power was restored at 2:48 p.m. KIUC is investigating the incident.
