The National Tropical Botanical Garden and Kauai Community College present their first collaborative event of 2019 in the ongoing Earth Matters public lecture series at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday with a panel discussion, “Building Resilience in the Face of Climate Change.”
Panel speakers will include former NTBG President Chipper Wichman, Kauai County Councilman Mason Chock, Kauai Emergency Management Administrator Elton Ushio, science writer Jan TenBruggencate and marine protected areas consultant Anne Walton.
The panel will discuss Kauai’s changing conditions and ideas for building resilience at the household and community levels in the face of climate change.
The talk will be held in the KCC Campus Center cafeteria behind the Performing Arts Center.
