County officials are reminding the public that the solid waste staging area located at Kepuhi Point is open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Residents may dispose of the following: bulky items, green waste, tires, metals, white goods and propane tanks.
“To help the county continue this service for the community, we ask residents not to use the site during non-operational hours,” said county Department of Public Works Deputy County Engineer Lyle Tabata.
Liquid waste, hazardous waste, and regular household refuse are not accepted at the staging area. Regular household refuse must be placed in county refuse carts on the right of way for weekly refuse collection service.
