WAIMEA – The Kauai County Housing Agency in partnership with Kauai Habitat for Humanity and ‘Ahe Group will host a public meeting to present the draft Environmental Assessment for the Waimea Huakai Affordable Housing project situated on the 6.5-acre parcel behind the West Kauai Technology & Visitor Center.
WAIMEA – The Kauai County Housing Agency in partnership with Kauai Habitat for Humanity and ‘Ahe Group will host a public meeting to present the draft Environmental Assessment for the Waimea Huakai Affordable Housing project situated on the 6.5-acre parcel behind the West Kauai Technology & Visitor Center.
The meeting is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Waimea Neighborhood Center, 4556 Makeke Road.
The proposed housing development will consist of two phases. Phase I will consist of 35 units of one, two, and three bedrooms, which will be available for rent.
Phase II consists of 32 single-family homes, two to four bedrooms, available for purchase.
The draft EA may be viewed online at www.kauai.gov/housing.
