FEMA awards grants to assist state and local governments and eligible private nonprofit entities with their recovery efforts.
The Major Disaster Declaration signed by President Donald Trump on May 8 authorized the inclusion of the City & County of Honolulu and the County of Kauai for supplemental funding under the Federal Public Assistance Program for recovery from severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides during the incident period April 13-16.
