LIHUE — The public is invited to attend a free Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America Mini Academy at Kauai Beach Resort on June 5 and 6 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This training will follow many of the goals and objectives of CADCA’s Youth “Key Essentials” training and Adult “Core Essentials” training. Both teach an introduction to prevention and coalition work and takes attendees through the Strategic Prevention Framework.
“This training for both youth and adults is another wonderful opportunity to strengthen our community and continue to work together,” said Theresa Koki, coordinator for Life’s Choices Kauai. “In partnership with our sister counties and the state, we are committed to give participants the skills and resources they need to form well-organized, anti-drug community coalitions.”
Both trainings are interactive, with activities and movement elements built into the curriculum.
