How does someone report an abandoned or derelict vehicle on public property?
If you would like to report a suspected abandoned vehicle located on a public road or public property, E-mail abandonedvehicles@kauai.gov or visit www.kauai.gov/Abandoned-Vehicles and have the following information ready:
w Specific location of the vehicle; for example, in front of what address, the nearest cross street, distance from nearest landmark, etc.
w License plate number, if available
w Make of the vehicle
w Type and color of the vehicle
w How long the vehicle has been at this location
In the event you are unable to e-mail, please call the Kauai Police Department Abandoned/Derelict phone line at 241-1901.
Only vehicles abandoned on public property and tagged by the Kauai Police Department may be removed by the County of Kauai. If a vehicle is abandoned on private property it is the responsibility of the property owner to remove such vehicles.

Does the county have any plans to build restroom facilities at the Vidinha Stadium soccer fields?
The county does not have any plans to build a restroom facility near the soccer field at this time. However, we do make the restrooms at Vidinha Stadium available for league use, and there are portable toilets stationed at the soccer field.
Waimea
What is the status of the Smokey Valley Clubhouse Project in Waimea?
The Department of Parks and Recreation is currently in the process of awarding this construction contract to Pacific Blue Construction. Work is expected to commence this summer and will include repairs to the door, walls and windows of the facility at an estimated cost of $50,000.
