There were no occupants at home when the fire broke out at the single-story house on Nunu Road, and no injuries were reported, according to the county.
Firefighters extinguished the flames by evening.
The fire inspector’s preliminary estimate was $300,000 damage to the structure and its contents.
The home is considered a total loss, according to a county spokesperson.
