Cleanups are
set for Saturday
KAPAA — A pair of cleanups are planned on Saturday.
Surfrider Foundation Kauai Chapter and B*RAD Foundation are hosting a cleanup at Donkey Beach, north of Kapaa. Gloves, bags, tools and support are provided, as well as coffee.
Nets, plastic and trash are the main focus of removal. Pickup trucks are welcome to haul away trash.
Friends of the Kalalau trail will meet at the trailhead at 7:30 a.m. Work along the first two miles of the trail involves some hiking, and volunteers are usually back at the trailhead by 1:30 p.m.
Tools are provided.
