The public is invited to take time to honor all veterans Saturday when the Kauai Veterans Council present the annual Veterans Day Service at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Retired admiral Richard Macke will be the guest speaker at the service which starts at 11 a.m. — the 11th day of the 11th month.
Representatives of veterans organizations will present wreaths of honor with help from the Waimea High School JROTC program.
Macke will also be the highlighted speaker during the 50th anniversary commemoration for Vietnam Veterans, Saturday evening at the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club.
